In Paso Robles connoisseurs and craftsmen come to kick back and create California’s most sought-after artisanal goods. Here, deep roots and a welcoming spirit define our city and its people—and we’re more than happy to share it with you.
We’ve teamed up with the area’s top artisans to craft an experience that’s as authentic as Paso itself. From the architecture of our 17,000 square-foot hotel to the custom chandeliers in each of our 24 guestrooms, every detail brings you some local flair.
Meet our local artisans, craftsmen, and creators who’ve infused The Piccolo with their passion, because you’re not just staying in a hotel—you’re diving into the heart of Paso Robles.
Hans Duus
Step into one of our 24 guestrooms and you'll find a custom chandelier dripping with Austrian crystals. Outside, the iron-framed wall sconces are adorned with hand-cut silhouettes of twisting branches—a nod to the oak trees that gave El Paso del Robles’ its name.
Hennessy Christophel & Sofia Lacin
The 76-foot mural in our courtyard, hand-painted by Hennessy Christophel and Sofia Lacin of LC Studio Tutto, isn’t just art—it’s a celebration of Paso Robles’ rich culture, history, and nature all with a modern twist.
Craft Distillery
After inheriting their parents' wineries Stephen Kroner and Joe Barton decided that the same old, same old was just not their style. Enter KROBĀR, a new way to savor the flavors of Paso Robles. Swing by Paso Sky Rooftop Bar to try KROBĀR’s bourbon and their Original and Pink Gins.
Lauren Dunn & Pepe Sanchez
When Lauren Dunn and Pepe Sanchez teamed up, magic happened. Picture 24 custom air plants, filled with locally sourced Cambria moss and framed in rose gold, hanging in each room at The Piccolo.
Handcrafted Spirits
Paso Robles’s first distillery, RE:FIND Handcrafted Spirits, was started in 2011. The goal wasn’t just to make spirits, but to give those leftover wine juices a second life. Now, their spirits are mixing it up in craft cocktails at the Paso Sky Rooftop Bar.
